The stock markets of Mexico The negotiations on Tuesday closed with profits. Local stock indices rose for the seventh day in a row, in a market awaiting December inflation data from the United States on Thursday.

The referential index S&P/BMV CPI of the Mexican stock exchange (BMV), made up of the 35 most liquid shares in the local market, rose 0.12% to 52,344.02 points. The FTSE BIVAof the Institutional Stock Market (Biva), rose 0.14% to 1,092.3 points.

In its streak of seven consecutive advances since a close of 48,463.86 points in 2022, the S&P/BMV IPC accumulates an advance of 8.01 percent. Against a record of 1,012.14 points in 2022, the FTSE BIVA index chains an advance of 7.92 percent.

Within the benchmark, most components ended the session with losses, with 16 stocks in the green and 19 in the red. The shares of Grupo México led the gains, with 2.36%, followed by Elektra, with 2.11 percent.
