Roland Virkus has commented on the ongoing transfer rumors about Marcus Thuram (25) and Ramy Bensebaini (27). “As of today, both remain at Borussia Mönchengladbach. That also means that we both want to persuade them to stay with us beyond the end of the season. We will try everything for that”said the sports director of the foals at today’s press conference.

The duo’s contracts expire in the summer. Although Virkus does not seem to have given up hope, there is little to suggest that both will extend their contract again in Mönchengladbach. Bensebaini will most likely move to Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer, while various clubs are showing interest in Marcus Thuram.
