Miami Fashion Week reveals schedule for 2024 edition

MIAMI.- Miami Fashion Week (Miafw), the second largest fashion event in the United States, announces its return with a schedule of shows and exclusive activities.

This year, it will take place from January 24 to 27, marking an evolution for Miafw by adopting new event dates aligned with the global calendar of the fashion industry.

Extensive programming

“We are thrilled to bring back Miami Fashion Week with extensive programming that reflects creative forces from around the world,” Lourdes Fernandez-Velasco, executive director of Miami Fashion Week, said in a statement. “This year’s event will not only showcase exceptional brands, but also offer a platform for insightful discussions, innovative ideas with new technologies and the convergence of diverse perspectives.”

Extending its solid programming, for the first time Miafw 2024 will pay tribute to Karl Kani by dedicating a catwalk to him in which his designs that most characterize him will stand out. Inspired by Hip Hop and urban culture, Karl Kani found a space in the market and began creating clothing at the age of 16. Today, Karl Kani is a global phenomenon, who has not only introduced the concept of jeans baggy (baggy jeans), but has dressed music icons such as Michael Jackson, Tupac, Puff Daddy, Rihanna and Arianna Grande.

The Miafw 2024 program will present a list of renowned designers such as Gatha Ruiz de la Prada, Yas González, Ángel Sánchez, Giannina Azar, Rene by RR and Lisu Vega. This eclectic gathering of design visionaries will promise attendees an unforgettable experience with exclusive events that will captivate, inspire and redefine the boundaries of fashion.

Sustainability Summit

Continuing with its current sustainability mission, Miafw will also host a summit led by opinion leaders and change agents who are paving the way for the development of sustainable fashion. The agenda will include thought-provoking discussions that aim to encourage a more conscious and green approach to design.
