After many rumours, Microsoft has finally confirmed that we will be receiving a “Developer_Direct” from Xbox and Bethesda later this month with all sorts of information about future titles and the new update to The Elder Scrolls Online. Some users have assumed that the next showcase will also bring us new information about Bethesda’s much-anticipated RPG Starfield, but this title will not appear on the upcoming livestream.
New Xbox live stream brings info on upcoming games like Redfall
Starfield doesn’t have a firm release date just yet, but it should be released sometime in the first half of this year. Microsoft will therefore be holding a special deep-dive livestream all about Starfield, where we may even get a new release date. When exactly this showcase will take place is not yet known. At the earliest, however, we will see this after the already mentioned Developer_Direct.
When it comes to The Elder Scrolls Online, Studio Director Matt Firor is set to unveil the next major chapter update. This arguably includes the newest playable regions of Tamriel as well as important new features. Directly following Developer_Direct, there will be a standalone ESO chapter reveal event hosted by Zenimax Online Studios, where we’ll get even more information about the future of the MMORPG.
At Developer_Direct we will also get an insight into the “next generation of Forza Motorsport”. This probably includes gameplay and “exciting” new details. Minecraft Legends will also make an appearance, most notably the action strategy game’s PvP multiplayer. Finally, there will be several minutes of single and multiplayer gameplay from Arkane Studios’ upcoming co-op shooter Redfall. We will probably also learn more about combat, customization options, the open game world, and much more here.
Developer_Direct will take place on January 25, 2023 at 9 p.m. on the official Xbox and Bethesda channels on YouTube and Twitch. So if you are interested in at least one of the games mentioned above, you should definitely make a note of the date in your calendar.
