This week marks a month and a half since the launch of penance, one of the most acclaimed releases of the year despite being a niche video game. You can listen to the Pentiment soundtrack on multiple platforms but Microsoft just announced its release on vinylwith a presentation at the height of what he gave us Obsidian Entertainment.

The soundtrack of Pentiment was composed by the musical group Alkemie, which since 2013 has sought to explore sounds of instruments from past centuries, for which Obsidian Entertainment considered that they were the right ones to give the sound identity to their new game.

Obsidian Entertainment announced that the Pentiment soundtrack will have a physical release as a double vinyl album that will arrive sometime in 2023. Although no release date was given, Xbox did show off the vinyl artwork and cover artwork, which was made by the painter Benjamin Vierling inspired by Renaissance paintings.

Since its launch, it has been possible to find the Pentiment soundtrack on streaming services such as Spotify and iTunes, plus we can buy the digital version with its 37 songs through Steam (with a regular price of $123.99 MXN). Lastly, it was announced that the Pentiment soundtrack vinyls will include a painting of Our Lady of the Labyrinth by Hannah Kennedy, the game’s art director.

Obsidian Entertainment accompanied the announcement of the Pentiment soundtrack vinyls with a new fan kit on their official site, which includes wallpapers for players to use on their different devices.

Pentiment is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC for a price of $549 MXN (includes all three versions), although it has also been available on the Xbox Game Pass service since its launch. Thanks to that, it is possible to play Pentiment from even mobile devices, as it is available on Xbox Cloud Gaming with touch controls.
