Microsoft Edge 109 has been released in its stable version recently. With this browser update, there have been reports of users saying they are having difficulty using their printers. Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs are the ones affected by this issue but luckily it is easily fixable.

Those who are experiencing this problem have two options to get back to using their printers:
- Use the native Windows printing interface using the “Ctrl + Shift + P” shortcut.
- Remove special characters used in the printer name.
There were some reports that said that activating Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge solved the problem as well, making it possible to print through the Windows developer’s browser. However, for most users, the best solution has been to rename the printer.
How to fix printing issue in Microsoft Edge 109
The easiest way to fix Microsoft Edge 109 problem that prevents documents and images from printing is by renaming the printer. To do so, follow the steps below.
Step 01: Open the Settings app and go to Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Step 02: Click on the printer that contains special characters.
Step 03: Select Printer Properties.
Step 04: Click Change Properties and rename the printer.
Okay, now you should be able to use Microsoft Edge to print images and documents accessed over the internet.
Other browsers do not suffer from the same printing problem.
It is important to note that other browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are not experiencing problems printing documents and images in version 109.
