Because it seems that what Microsoft has revised so far is not well received by Xbox users. Therefore, the development team has now announced that testing of the new “Home Experience” will be stopped.
Old dashboard returns
Xbox Insiders who have been able to test the new dashboard over the last few weeks will now be reset one by one so that they can see the old, “normal” dashboard again. Affected are Xbox Insiders in the Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead rings.

Testing of the innovations will pause and the development team will – probably – start again from the beginning. In a blog post, Microsoft hinted that testers haven’t been particularly enthusiastic about the new Xbox Experience so far. It says, “We heard from you that the changes to the top of Home aren’t leaving you enough room for your backgrounds and that it’s feeling crowded. We’re working on improving the experience, accessibility, functionality and needs of ours.” Community to align and bring you a great and refreshed Home experience.”
The team is currently working on some “major updates” for Xbox players. Some of it had only been presented a few days ago. Then you will also take time for the dashboard again. The group plans to announce further details and a release plan for these updates soon.
