Juarez City.- Municipal agents announced that the Venezuelan migrant who was injured by a gunshot wound to the leg was an assailant who was injured when the victim resisted.

According to the official version, the assailants, two Venezuelans, threatened a citizen who was walking through the Guadalupe Mission Square to rob him.

However, the citizen resisted and in the struggle a shot was fired that hit the leg of one of the two assailants.

At that moment, the accomplice tried to run away but was caught up by citizens who subdued him and handed him over to municipal agents who proceeded to arrest him.

The injured person was taken by Red Cross paramedics to receive medical attention at a nearby hospital as a detainee.

According to expert personnel from the North Zone District Attorney’s Office, they located two 9mm caliber casings at the scene, however, the pistol was not found.
