AC Milan has sent its scouts to France. As the ‘Daily Mail’ reports, the Rossoneri are once again watching the development of Falorin Balogun at Stade Reims more closely. The 21-year-old striker has been linked with Milan in the past, but a move never materialized. Now the Italians are said to be showing increased interest again.
Balogun has been loaned out to Reims by Arsenal FC this season. The New York-born Englishman is thriving at the Ligue 1 midfield club. The striker has already scored 14 goals in 21 competitive games. Balogun leads Ligue 1’s goalscoring charts ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Alexandre Lacazette.
Key figure in attack
Arsenal striker Hugo Ekitiké, who in turn now laces his boots for Paris St. Germain, replaces in Reims. That’s why Balogun acts mainly as a passing station in the penalty area and is often staged excellently enough by his teammates to score goals.
However, the top form of the U21 national player also calls for competition. Balogun is under contract with Arsenal until 2025. At the end of the season, the attacker will weigh up whether he sees a chance to break through with the Gunners or whether he might try to break through elsewhere.
