CDMX.- For President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the murder of soldiers in troubled areas of the country is proof that his government is fighting crime.

“We are working every day with the purpose of guaranteeing public safety, as citizens are never being protected, there are enough elements in the states with the most violence, in Zacatecas, in Jalisco, in Michoacán and we will continue to do so.

“It is about mafias that have been operating for quite some time, this trial of García Luna, because it has to do with that, there is a part from yesterday where they talk about how they were allowed to dominate the entire country, so that is no longer it is allowed, but it remained a harmful legacy, there are groups that confront each other and unfortunately innocent people are also affected, so we are fighting against insecurity, against violence”.

“Well, the proof, and it is also painful, is that they are assassinating soldiers who are working in those regions, in the most conflictive ones. So, we are doing everything.”

In a conference, the federal President accused that the United Nations Organization (UN) is infiltrated by conservatives.

“The man from the UN, well, I respect his point of view, although they don’t have much authority, because when was the office for the disappeared created? You just mentioned it now, five years ago? And what happened? before, what did they do when García Luna, what did the UN do? Nothing”.

“And all these organizations, the majority, are infiltrated by conservative people who only denounce when it comes to progressive governments and when it comes to conservative governments, they keep silent, there is the case of Peru, they are repressing the people and what has happened? said the UN? What has UN human rights said? Nothing,” he reproached.
