Mexico City.- A boy transported the fire department by boat because a forest fire threatened to reach a human settlement and there was no faster way to get there.

The photograph was taken in southern Chile where forest fires were recorded this week that have devastated kilometers of land, affecting homes and even human lives.

This is how the 13-year-old Lucas showed a show of solidarity by rowing with all his might and transporting the firefighters.

In the image that has already gone viral on networks, the minor is observed holding the oars and leaning back, transporting four fire extinguishers.

According to Chilean firefighters, little Lucas was in a hurry to get to the area of the fire because it was his house that was in danger.

“Lucas, a minor under 13 years of age, transferred firefighters by barge across the Futa River (Los Ríos region), who did not have access to his home, which was threatened by fire,” the agency tweeted.

Through networks, the child received praise for his attitude in the face of the tragedy because without his help, the firefighters might not have arrived on time.

For example, a user pointed out that the mentality of a minor is insurmountable and that this will undoubtedly help him to transcend in life.

“This one really deserves the completed medal table,” another Internet user tweeted.

According to official figures, the fires have caused the death of 24 people, burned 1,156 homes and consumed more than 280,000 hectares.

The flames have generated damage in three regions of the country: Ñuble, Bío Bío and Araucanía. Given this, a national operation was deployed to fight the fires and save as many lives as possible.
