“We are clear with Governor Perotti that Santa Fe comes first and the interests of the people of Santa Fe come first and all the short circuits we have had with the national government were because of this. Santa Fe brings a lot of wealth, a lot of economic activity, a lot of production and it contributes a lot of taxes and returns very little,” said the national deputy for Santa Fe, Roberto Mirabella, at the presentation of his book “Let’s Defend Santa Fe” in the 1927 bar of the city of Venado Tuerto.

In this sense, the legislator emphasized: “It seems to me that this is how we are going to disintegrate as a Nation, that is why I am clear that I represent and defend Santa Fe, and those of us who are from the productive interior are tired of so many injustices and so much discrimination that we receive of Buenos Aires”, And he added: “If we continue in this way we are going to have to rediscuss the Argentine Confederation as it was discussed 170 years ago, when the Constitution was sanctioned, and in which Buenos Aires was not present”.

“We are having a country that is increasingly macrocephalic, increasingly centralist,” said the legislator. And he added: “If we look at the Coparticipation Law of 1988 that governs Argentina, in these 35 years resources have been increasingly concentrated in the National State to the detriment of the provinces and municipalities.”

“We are conditioned by what happens in Buenos Aires, this country is less and less federal, it seems that the provinces instead of being integrated into the Nation, are annexed and that they treat us as a colony of anger and anger,” Mirabella highlighted. And he concluded: “The defense of Santa Fe should not have a political flag, it should not be a partisan issue but the assessment of what we are and have as a province.”

The event was attended by community presidents, provincial officials, local authorities, businessmen, union representatives and representatives of civil society.

Tour of Firmat

Previously, deputy Mirabella toured the city of Firmat where he visited works financed by the provincial government, such as the facilities of Jardín Nº388, the Fredriksson Football club, the works of the Green Box project at Headquarters and the Villa Deportiva Club Argentino, where he spoke with neighbors, teachers and authorities of the institutions. “It makes me proud that we can be discussing from another floor, of a better standard than Perotti found the province. Now we are not arguing that the works are stopped or that they are not, that gas or aqueducts were not built and they must be built again. This is what seems important to me, having posed a series of challenges at this stage and being able to meet them and leave a higher floor for whoever comes,” said Mirabella during the tours.
