MIAMI.- The city of Miami be the place where you choose Miss Universe Cuba 2024 after 57 years of absence from the contest. And regarding the competition, the contest board announced the candidates preselected
“Yesterday (Friday) was a day of many emotions: we met our preselected candidates for Miss Universe Cuba 2024 and we were accompanied in this process by our official channel MegaTV Live, whom we want to thank for all their support,” the organization posted on Instagram, thanking the Cuban community for the support received in recent months.
“Thank you Cuba for so much support. This is for you and for you. We are working very hard to have the best representative before Miss Universe 2024,” he added certainly.
Through this network, Miss Universe Cuba showed the portfolio with the faces of the preselected candidates who, according to the contest policies, are Cuban or daughters of Cuban exiles.
“Of the 578 women nominated within the United States, Cuba and other countries, they are the 95 preselected,” reads Instagram.

On the other hand, the press chief of Miss Universe Cuba, Marianela Santiesteban, explained exclusively to DIARIO LAS AMRICAS that the board of directors of the contest, led by Prince Julio Cesar, interviewed each of the pre-selected contestants to learn more details about their aspirations, disciplines and more.
“They have not yet selected the 20 final candidates. They had a first interview with the 100 pre-selected and in 15 days they will have another meeting,” Santiesteban explained today – via telephone.
Development of Miss Universe Cuba 2024
At a meeting with the media on June 17, the board explained that the contest will take place on Sunday, September 15, starting at 6:00 pm (Miami time) and will be broadcast on open television by MegaTv Live (@megatvlive).
The requirement to participate is to have been born in Cuba or to Cuban parents in exile; the ages of the contestants range between 19 and 55 years.
Before the final night, two special programs will be broadcast, also on MegaTv Live, where the process to select the 20 official candidates for Miss Universe Cuba 2024 will be shown.
The final night will feature Ismael Cala as host. The jury members will include Alicia Machado and Sissi Fleites.
The first edition of Miss Universe Cuba was held in 1952. The event was held until 1960 because Fidel Castro’s regime prohibited the contest and caused the representatives not to participate in the Miss Universe.
