ST. ANN, Missouri — A woman and two children were shot dead at a home in Missouri.
The event happened Monday around 9 pm in St. Ann, St. Louis County. Police Chief Aaron Jimenez told KTVI station that officers found a dead teenager in the kitchen, a woman in the garage and a critically injured five-year-old girl in the living room. The girl later died at the hospital.
A teenager suffered a hand injury and is expected to recover.
Police found a man with a gunshot wound, possibly self-inflicted, Jimenez said. He added that the man had apparently barricaded himself in the house. They took him to a hospital and his condition was not immediately released.
As reported FOX 2 St. Louis, the investigation is still early, and it is known that a total of five people were shot inside the house. A mother, a teenager and a five-year-old girl are dead. About the suspect, it is not clear if he will survive.
Police said they will continue to update with more information about the unfortunate event.
