An episode as routine as waxing has been close to costing the life of the model Jennifer Barlow. After spending five months without sharing any content on her Instagram account, where she usually had a lot of presence, Barlow revealed that she was focused “on surviving”. “I want to share my story about my near death experiences along the way. What it’s been like to relearn how to be human and the loneliness that comes with living in a hospital for five months”, he wrote in a publication where a photograph appeared in the Bahamas and another in the hospital bed fully intubated.

In total, at the age of 33, she had to undergo surgery 33 times to remove all the damaged tissue. “When I woke up I had what looked like a zombie leg. It seemed as if a dog had taken over her. I had nothing left. The doctors told me that she was very lucky to be alive, ”she recalls.
