A shoplifter is caught in Moers. The situation escalates: the detective is beaten and threatened – and is able to arrest the perpetrator.
On Saturday around 2:50 p.m stolen a 60-year-old man from Moers Mobile phone and various accessories in an electronics store in Moers. This was reported by the police press office in the Wesel district on Monday.
Before he could leave the shop, the 39-year-old Department store detective addressed in the checkout area. The 60 year old hit the detective then in face and threatened in order to, to shoot him. The detective brought the 60-year-old to the ground and held him until the police arrived. The man is now awaiting criminal proceedings among other things, for robbery theft. He was taken to the Moers police station.
