Moers.
The takeover of the civil engineering company is of strategic importance for Enni from Moers. The location in Rheinberg-Orsoy will be retained for the time being.

The Moers-based service provider Enni takes over the Rheinberg civil engineering company from Ludger Lange. The company is now called Enni Strassen- und Tiefbau GmbH, all 15 employees and the vehicle fleet will be taken over, the location is to be relocated from Rheinberg to Moers in the medium term, according to a message from Enni on Friday.

In order to preserve the legacy of the civil engineering company founded by his father Leonhard in 1959, the 57-year-old entrepreneur from Rheinberg has entered into a close cooperation with the Moers-based infrastructure provider Enni. “It was very important to me that the company continued to exist after I left and that my long-standing employees had the prospect of continued secure jobs.” That’s why Ludger Lange wanted to hand his company over to reliable hands that were interested in the development of the region in good time.

He himself will remain with the company as managing director until he leaves in about three years. Most recently, Enni was already his largest customer, with whom he had already made around 80 percent of his annual turnover through the comprehensive renovation of the sewers in Moers. For the CEO of Enni, Stefan Krämer, the cooperation fits in perfectly with his goals of relying on regional partnerships and thus maintaining the economic power of the Lower Rhine. “We knew what we had in each other and the chemistry was right from the first meeting. As a road and civil engineering company that is respected in the industry, Lange suits us,” Krämer is convinced.

Enni has been busy building up his own capacities in road construction and civil engineering for a long time. Because in the course of the renewal strategy for energy and water networks and the Moers canals, the company felt the consequences of scarce construction capacities and sharply rising prices for civil engineering services. Enni has had good business relationships with Ludger Lange and his Rheinberg road and civil engineering company for many years, which was an important advantage for Krämer.

“Without mentioning the purchase price; everything went well and both sides quickly said yes with a good feeling,” says Krämer, who is happy to have such an active, recognized and well-managed company for the region. It also fits into Krämer’s strategy that Ludger Lange is already developing a young talent for the position of future managing director. “Until then, Ludger Lange will remain managing director and pass on his experience to the next generation.” For Enni, the business is of strategic importance. Because resources are becoming increasingly scarce in civil engineering. “It’s good to hold the reins in your own hands for a part.

In the future, Krämer can imagine expanding the previous activities in the areas of sewer and road construction to include the energy business and creating more jobs. The company will remain at the Orsoyer Meldeweg location for the time being. However, in the medium term, Krämer would like to integrate it into the shared location of all Enni companies in Moers-Hülsdonk in order to reduce the daily distances travelled.

With Enni Strassen- und Tiefbau GmbH, it now also bears the name of the Moers infrastructure company. Enni will take over the 15 employees as well as the vehicle fleet and the material. Enni initially rented the premises in Rheinberg-Orsoy. Enni Strassen- und Tiefbau GmbH will also initially be active in the fields of road construction and civil engineering as well as sewer construction and sewer repairs.
