Especially now, when the days are getting a little longer again, in the morning and towards evening there are sometimes impressive light moods and cloud images. The sky begins to glow in all colors. When you are out in nature, you already have all the ingredients for a good nature photo. With the right alignment, perspective and composition, moving motifs are created.
The Pictures of the Day that we have selected for this week combine all or at least many of these components. Like the picture with the title pollard willows in the evening sky somewhere towards the Baltic Sea. Photographer Claus Labens found the avenue in Mecklenburg and was in the right place at the right time.
Gallery photographer ‘mannix’ also used a special inversion weather situation for the picture from Saturday to conjure up a dreamy winter landscape on his sensor. During frost, the moist air masses covered all the trees, bushes, grasses and fences in the forest landscape with cotton-white ice.
The picture Walchensee by Andreas Schwager lives from a suddenly changing evening sky after sunset. Warm light is reflected in the slightly rippled water surface of the lake and creates the romantic mood of the picture.
