Apple is selling fewer and fewer products with Lightning.
Since Tuesday, the iPhone 15 has also been equipped with USB-C. But Lightning is not completely dead yet. Many devices still use the old connection.
Eight products with Lightning still in the range
Here is a list of devices that the group continues to sell with a Lightning connector:
- iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE
- iPad (9th generation)
- AirPods
- AirPods Max
- Apple Pencil (1st generation)
- Magic Keyboard (Mac)
- Magic Mouse
- Magic Trackpad
- Various cables and adapters
Switching is planned
Sooner or later, the company is expected to update the remaining gadgets to USB-C. The old iPhones will no longer be updated, will be discontinued in the near future and will no longer be sold from then on.
So it will probably only take another year or two until Lightning is finally history.
