In Sulz, the municipal budget for the current year was passed unanimously

The Sulner forecast for the current year is again characterized by falling income and increases in expenditure.

As in previous years, the municipality of Sulz is still faced with the great challenge of coping with collapsing income and simultaneous increases in expenditure. “We are like many other communities in the country and while the tasks are increasing, the income is decreasing. Much of this cannot be controlled by the municipality,” says Mayor Karl Wutschitz of Sulner on the 2023 budget.
Investments in public services
“For the current year, we have a reasonable budget in Sulz, which mainly includes investments in services of general interest,” explains Mayor Wutschitz. The municipal budget is in turn characterized by increasing payments such as to the state health fund, social assistance and contributions to the hospitals, but also important investments. In addition, 1,256,000 euros have been budgeted for the water supply in the current year. This also includes the renovation of the high water tank and old water pipes. The budget for 2023 earmarks around 105,000 euros for the renovation of the kindergarten and 65,000 euros are to flow into the music home.
Budget approved unanimously
Thus, the financial budget of the municipality of Sulz for the current year provides for payments of 9,270,900 euros and payments of 9,500,700. The estimate also provides for a loan of EUR 816,000 with a simultaneous repayment of EUR 831,000. Despite the current and tense situation, the political mood in the community is still good and the budget for the current year was again approved unanimously. MIMA
