More than 100 films from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema by Canela TV

MEXICO CITY.- More than 100 Mexican films will be available for free on Canela.TV in the Cine de Oro collection.

The initial list of titles that will be available includes I have to eat that prickly pear (1945), starring Jorge Negrete, La devoradora (1946), with María Flix, Escuela de Vagabundos (1955) with Pedro Infante and What happened to Samsón (1955), starring comedian Tin Tan.

The collection will also include films by the comedian La India María such as Duro Pero Seguro (1975) and Sor Tequila (1978); as well as Through the False Door (1950), starring Rita Macedo and Pedro Armendriz, Educando a Pap (1955), with Fernando Soler, Bachelor’s Department (1971), with Mauricio Garcs and La criada bien criada (1972) with Mara Victoria and Chabelo.

The first installment of the collection will be available from June 13 and titles will be added throughout the year.

Cine de Oro is Canela Media’s most recent initiative to preserve Latin culture. The films were restored to high definition and are part of the Diana International Films library.
