The current fine weather and mild temperatures are making holidaymakers happy on Friday 17 February. Some have chosen to go to the Jura in the resort of Les Fourgs which attracts families who love skiing.
Some are in search of thrills while others hurtle down the slopes. At the Fourgs resort (Doubs), priority is given to families. “It’s perfect conditions, the snow is perfect, the sun is there”, rejoices a skier. Every day, more than 1,000 people parade at the ski resort. The February holidays are crucial: 70% of turnover is achieved in one month.
Recruitment difficulties
“We have more and more customers who did not know our resort but who are above all looking for our calm and the peace of our resort”, explains Anouck Béliard, co-manager of the Fourgs resort. Apprentice skiers are thus numerous at the resort. All classes are full. But this also hides a difficulty in recruiting. This year, there are seven monitors against 14 in normal times. We can only hope that the snow will hold until the end of the season.
