Shakhtar Donetsk are still not ready to let rising star Mykhaylo Mudryk go. “We get offers, but they’re not the ones we’d like to see on our table”, managing director Sergej Palkin can be quoted on the club’s homepage. The main interested party from England can feel addressed: “Now, literally in five minutes, I will be on the phone with Arsenal. We are open to negotiations and willing to exchange ideas and figures.”
Shakhtar is said to have already rejected an offer from the Gunners in the reported amount of 65 million euros. The idea of the Ukrainians is more towards 100 million euros. A Mudryk transfer in the winter is not a must for Palkin: “If we agree, then so be it. If not, then another time.” However, it is possible that the Gunners will achieve a breakthrough with the said call.
