France 3 is offering, this Saturday, February 4, Meurtres en Champagne, a unique unit from its successful collection starring Samira Lachhab and Yaniss Lespert. Is it worth a look? Our opinion.
This February 4, while TF1 will offer the first part of the final of ninja warriorand that France 2 will broadcast a special “100% unforeseen” TV kids by Laurent Ruquier, France 3, as usual, will devote its Saturday bonus to a French fiction, unpublished moreover! One week after a replay of the unit still available on Salto The Cursed Woods (our opinion), place this time at Murders in Champagne, from the public channel’s bestselling collection. In the casting, Samira Lachhab – who returned to her departure from tomorrow belongs to us – and Yaniss Lespert, popularized for his role in Fais pas ci, do not do that.

The day after the hundredth anniversary of her Champagne house, Madame Dupaquier is found dead in her own cellars. On the ground, near the body, is a mysterious note around a triangle: “the secret of the devil, the guardian, the zealator, the eternal angel of the abysses”, all drawn in chalk. In charge of the investigation, Captain Sofia Guerini (played by Samira Lachhab) and Constable Mathieu Delorme (alias Yaniss Lespert) call on the geologist Bastien Keller (Stéphane Blancafort). This one has legal setbacks after endangering his employees during underground work. Among them, Lucie, Sofia’s fiancée, is still in a coma…

As always in this collection, Meurtres en Champagne delights us with its sumptuous landscapes. Moreover, the plot with enigmas – smoothly conducted – lends itself rather well to the esoteric universe of the underground galleries of Champagne, to which this TV movie pays a beautiful tribute. Good interpersonal dynamics spice up the narration, especially with a duo of comical investigators to whom we owe a few welcome doses of humor…
