The Canadian singer Michael Bublé starts his cuddly songs in Cologne for Valentine’s Day. A day later it gets romantic in Oberhausen.

For many, Michael Bublé is closely linked to the Christmas season. Whenever things get contemplative, the Canadian’s Advent album drones up and down. But the swing star with the velvety soft, cuddly voice can also be heard outside of the Christmas season – for example on Valentine’s Day. That’s where he makes fans’ hearts beat faster this year: at the concert on February 14th. in the Cologne Lanxess Arena.

Romance in the arena

A day later it will also be romantic in Oberhausen (Rudolf Weber Arena). Because the album “Higher”, which was released last March, is peppered with declarations of love – to women, family and life itself. Consider the aptly named song “My Valentine.”

It was written for a woman, but not for Bublé’s mistress Luisana Lopilato. Rather, none other than Sir Paul McCartney dedicated the song to his Holden and eventually offered it to Michael Bublé, who promptly sent a version to McCartney’s management. “Then he called me. I will never forget the call,” said Michael Bublé, laughing from ear to ear in an interview with this newspaper.

Son Noah contributed song idea

However, the ex-Beatle isn’t the only one Bublé has collaborated with on the album. Even his young son Noah contributed a song – the title track. “My son suddenly started singing the line ‘when you go low, and I get higher.’ I then sang it in the studio and everyone thought it was great. This kid will be a lot better than I could ever be,” enthuses the 47-year-old.

But there should certainly have been an increase in pocket money for the offspring. “I told him that if the song was a hit, he would definitely make a lot of money. Of course I suggested that he save the money for college. He just said no and said he’d rather spend the money on candy.”

The information about the shows

So love can be so different – one writer loves his wife more than anything and the other his sugary sweets. In the arenas of the region, you can perhaps combine that – listening to bublé with your partner in your arms and munching on sweets.
