Dortmund.
A person with what appears to be an “assault rifle” is standing in front of a bank branch in downtown Dortmund. That’s behind the case.

Curious operation for the Dortmund police late Saturday evening (May 13) on Betenstrasse: With a balaclava and an apparent “assault rifle”, a person posed in front of a black Ford Mustang – and that in front of a bank branch in the busy pedestrian zone. According to the first findings of the police, there is probably a music video shoot behind it.

Masked person poses with “assault rifle” in front of Ford Mustang

Witnesses had made the worrying observation and informed the police: In front of the bank branch, a person wearing a balaclava got out of a black Ford Mustang. “The person posed in front of the car with an assault rifle,” the witnesses reported to the police control center.

The police moved out immediately. On site, the officials then found out: The “assault rifle” was not real. In the car, the police officers found other so-called apparent weapons, i.e. objects that look deceptively similar to real weapons. The police confiscated them.

Was it a music video shoot without permission?

According to initial police findings, the group, which apparently included several people, wanted to shoot a music video. However, those involved could not present the officials with a filming permit.

Now the police are investigating the violation of the weapons law and harassment of the general public.
