A new year has begun, and January opens the door for all kinds of new content, which is why some of the most popular anime creators are taking the opportunity to ring in the year with new special art of some of their most beloved characters.

Creators around the world have been celebrating the arrival of a new year, and that goes doubly true for those in anime. Especially series like My Hero Academia, as all eyes are on them as next year promises to deliver tons of action. And now, the superhero series is celebrating with a special poster painted by its creator.

Kohei Horikoshi, shared via Twitter a special sketch that they drew and inked in honor of the new year. It is there that Mirko is the center of attention, since 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. She is joined by our favorite heroes in a curious cosplay session, where Horikoshi shared some mind-blowing comments for fans.

“Sorry for the delay, but happy new year! I will have your support this year too. I copied the outfit that the anime account made for Mirko, I love it,” Horikoshi wrote. “Mirko is a rabbit-themed character, so for the year of the rabbit, he wanted to draw everyone wearing his clothes having fun. Surely this isn’t just an excuse because I’m bad at drawing kimonos and other long-sleeved clothing.”

The poster shows Mirko in a beautiful kimono that suits her style, while we see Ochaco look adorable, where Horikoshi said that everyone Jiro he’s posing carefully to avoid any NSFW slippage, Deku he seems to be enjoying it and his companions just look scared.

This cosplay tribute looks great and fans are eager to see what Mirko will do during the Year of the Rabbit. The anime has more to show for the heroine, despite his big fight in the sixth season.
