“You sick pedophiles have been caught red-handed. Share so all royalists see this!”
The Twitter account has a blue verification tick and over 50,000 followers.
Along with hashtags such as #WeWantAnswers and #RoyalCoronation, a clip is being shared showing a naked person escaping from a window at Buckingham Palace, as guards in ceremonial red gear march past. The clip has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
Voices are heard in the background.
“Is he naked?” says a woman – in Swedish. What is this?
First, it can be stated that the clip not is filmed in connection with the coronation of King Charles.
The clip has been circulating on social media since 2015, over eight years before the coronation in May 2023.
“The video is posted on an account with the name Anders Dahlberg, while the profile picture represents Håkan Hellström,” writes a TT article from 1 March 2015.
But neither the TT article nor the British tabloids that also reported on the mysterious “Swedish” clip write anything about its origin. Only later does it emerge that it is not an authentic mobile video, but one marketing trailer for the TV series “The Royals”, which premiered on March 15, 2015 – two weeks after the viral nude video first began to spread.
QAnon, Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein
The trailer shows a grown man, not a child, who in the series escapes some kind of erotic scandal with a princess. But since 2015, the clip has resurfaced several times, on Reddit, on YouTube, on Twitter, with a much darker interpretation.
Now it is being used as “proof” of the royal family’s and elite’s alleged occult rituals and child sex crimes – a QAnon-emphasized conspiracy theory that has taken hold on social media in the years since the TV series was produced.
At the same time, connections are also made to Prince Andrew and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew has been accused of raping a minor at Epstein’s home, and in connection with the scandal withdrew from all public engagements.
The prince was booed by the crowd in connection with the coronation, reports British media.
