District 9 man Neill Blomkamp is, as we all know, working hard with an upcoming film adaptation of the most popular racing game series of all time; Gran Turismo, and in addition to a new image from the film (below), he has also spoken about the racing itself.
“It’s real actors, in real cars, on real race tracks, driving insanely quickly. The north star for me was to make a videogame title with character work that propels the movie, even more so than the racing. Although the racing is bloody intense, too.”
Sounds good. Gran Turismo: The Movie opens in theaters on August 11.
