It is a fact that having quality content is not enough to obtain a leading streaming service in the market, it is necessary to deliver a good user experience for the user on the platforms where the application is present. Earlier this week, the Netflix app got a new update on iOS (iPhone), bringing a new interface with a billboard layout, new image transitions, new animations for the launch and profile screens, as well as updated haptics and more.
Janum Trivedi, former product designer at Netflix, posted on Twitter showing off the new version of the streaming service’s app running on iOS. He says the goal was to make the app more fluid, enjoyable and polished. A Netflix spokesperson told TechCrunch:
We recently updated the Netflix iOS app with better visuals, more responsive interactions, and motion design. This latest global update includes features like a new style to promote what to watch, themed backgrounds on your favorite shows and movies, new profile animations, and much more.
This last year, I’ve been leading a UI refresh to make Netflix feel more fluid, delightful, and polished.

Netflix App for iPhone: What’s Changed?
When you open the Netflix application on iOS in its latest version, you will see a large card (card) of a series or movie, occupying a large part of the screen. Interestingly, this card now uses the parallax effect, which reacts when the user moves the cell phone by tilting it sideways or up/down. In addition, there is still a frame on these cards, where the chosen color represents the movie or series.
Another change that has been made to the Netflix app for iOS is the removal of the “information” tab. Now the user can select a card to access another page with information about the series or movie. Previously, when you selected a title, the info screen would appear by swiping up.
The way the profile appears has also changed. Before, the screen would slide to the side when selecting the user and now the icon increases and jumps to the center and then jumps to the upper right corner.
