The special episode of the reality show “Love is Blind” could not be broadcast live on the platform. Netflix will offer it as soon as possible on a delayed basis.
Once again, Netflix has tripped over live. This Sunday, after 75 minutes of waiting, the platform resigned itself to canceling its live broadcast of a special episode of the reality show “Love is Blind”. Like Friends or Harry Potter, the episode had to bring together the cast of the show. With one difference, the whole thing had to be broadcast live.
“To everyone who stayed up late, went to bed early, sacrificed their Sunday afternoon… We are terribly sorry that the ‘Love is Blind’ live reunion didn’t go as we planned,” commented on Netflix on Twitter.
Second live program
If the show took place under live conditions, subscribers to the streaming service will have to be patient before enjoying the program. The platform simply warned that it will be available “as soon as possible”.
On the Down Detector site, which lists service or application malfunctions, more than 10,000 reports were sent around the time initially planned for the program, indicates the specialized site. TechCrunch. Netflix did not detail the issues that led to the cancellation of the live.
This is only Netflix’s second live broadcast. The first was the broadcast of the Chris Rock show, an event after the Will Smith slap scandal. If English-speaking spectators had been able to watch the show live, Netflix had recognized a bug on its interface.
As the program was not subtitled in French, the presence of text in English caused an interface conflict on platforms configured in French. This had led to depriving some French spectators of the Chris Rock show.
