Macquarie Research tells us in its report that with the end of account sharing, Netflix could gain nearly $1 billion in revenue by 2024. It is also possible that these revenues be $3.5 billion according to the firm’s optimistic estimates. But where does this report data come from?

Will Netflix make money with the end of account sharing?
Of course, this is an optimistic conclusion from Macquarie Research. There is no indication that these millions of users will agree to subscribe to an account themselves. But the end of account sharing has the objective to replenish the coffers of Netflix in the face of its recent difficulties.
Macquarie Research specifies that, as in Spain with the departure of a million people, the end of account sharing will produce a mass exodus of users. But the subscribers will come back, in particular thanks to the offer with advertising, and the streaming giant will find it financially despite the discontent of the community.
