After Elon Musk took over Twitter, many users left the platform. Digital Minister Wissing is also considering leaving.

Digital Minister Volker Wissing is considering leaving the short message service Twitter. “The development since the acquisition by Elon Musk I see it with concern,” said the FDP politician to our editorial team. “At the moment I’m still on Twitter. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to stay.”

There are general fears that the platform could continue after being taken over by billionaire Musk brutalize. SPD chairwoman Saskia Esken had previously withdrawn from Twitter because she disliked the development there with hate, hate speech and disinformation. AfD boss Alice Weidel, on the other hand, sees the new developments as a gain for freedom of expression.
