New interruptions on the MBTA Green Line

More disruptions are looming on the MBTA Green Line train in Boston, as service will be suspended from the Kenmore station to Boston college.

The MBTA announcement comes a week after a Green Line B Branch streetcar derailed in the Allston neighborhood, and now officials say more than 2,000 feet of track needs to be replaced.

The MBTA announced that the closure will be for 12 days, from July 17 to July 28 and the stations of the green branch of the train that will be compromised are those between Kenmore and Boston College, there will be replacement buses.

“This 12-day full access closure allows us to safely and more efficiently implement track renewal along Branch B of the Green Line and, most importantly, improve service,” said the new director. of the MBTA Phillip Eng.
