It has been known for a long time that Platinum Games is an action-adventure Nier Automata to get an anime adaptation. Now the drama has revolved around the two Androids 2B and 9S got a new trailer and a final release date. Already at January 7th should the series appear. But what exactly can we expect?
New trailer for the Nier Automata anime seems to be based heavily on the template
Unfortunately, the almost one-minute trailer is closed NieR: Automata (buy now €27.99 )Ver 1.1a completely in Japanese, which is why we focus primarily on the plot sequences in the following. But don’t worry, the final series should be one full German synchro own. The small clip makes it clear that the makers have clearly oriented themselves to the video games, in the usual manner the Android 2B fights through hordes of machine beings and finally meets her partner 9S, who helps her out of trouble. But also that Android A2has already been seen in other trailers.
Those who played the template from 2017 will clearly recognize the plot. This is almost identical to the intro of the game. The series takes place in a apocalyptic worldin which mankind left Earth and had to flee to the moon after being overrun by alien robots.
Nier Automata is known for its numerous and sometimes confusing alternative endings, therefore it is considered rather unlikely that all possible outcomes will be processed in the anime. It is even conceivable that the series deviates completely from the video game in this respect in order to bring the story to a satisfying conclusion.
