This New Year’s speech by Schlager star Nino de Angelo (59, “Beyond Eden”) had it all – you don’t need a firecracker to make the walls tremble.
The singer actually starts his video on Instagram quite harmlessly, wishing his fans “only the best” and “above all health” for 2023. “I hope you slipped in well,” said de Angelo.
But then the pop master’s voice changes – from soft to hard. “Then I have one more thing to say,” de Angelo begins, complaining about the comment of a “dumb Italian” who makes de Angelo ashamed of being Italian.
The user probably wrote that under a post in which de Angelo drinks a vodka with a pickled pear.
“It’s not my fault if you’re Italian and ashamed – because of me? Can’t you all sweep your own fucking front door and let me live my life the way I want?”
De Angelo continued: “If I have a shot of vodka on New Year’s Eve and a glass of red wine, that’s my f***ing thing and not yours.”
► Nino de Angelo only swore off alcohol last year, after 40 years of regular drinking, stayed dry for a few months, but then started drinking again.
The singer in August to BILD: “I didn’t drink any alcohol for six months. Then I drew a conclusion: Viewed soberly, it was better drunk! That’s why I now regularly treat myself to my wine or gin and tonic again.”
In the video, the singer then goes completely to the ceiling: “Your stupid comments really piss me off. Do you know that? You little piss cloves! I freak out when I read stuff like this! Leave people alone! You can fuck me!”
De Angelo pulls his belt briefly, pours water into the embers, thanks the fans again before he scolds himself again intoxicated.
At the end of Nino de Angelo’s video there is also a smile
De Angelo: “I’m not an alcoholic or any of the shit that you guys paint your pooping balls up. I’m me. And you – are – you. OK? I don’t give a fuck about the shit you guys do either. Think about it, you imbeciles who post shit like this under my posts.”
And then with a wink: “Okay, all the best. Bye.” A firework of emotions …
