Pikmin 4 is back!
If there is one license that we have missed for years, it is obviously the Pikmin saga. But after shunning players for nearly 10 years or so, the franchise is finally back! She took advantage of the very first edition of the year 2023 of the Nintendo Direct to return to top form. You understand, Pikmin 4 gave its news, and not just a little.
First announced in 2015, Pikmin 4 is therefore back, and what we can say is that for once, it was generous with information. In particular, we had the right to a few minutes of gameplay which introduces us to the new heroine. She seems to come to replace the very famous Olimar, the hero of the license. This new character frolics in colorful and particularly shimmering environments. Of course, she is accompanied by these little colored beings who are nothing but Pikmin. If you are not familiar with the saga, know that these little characters help our heroine to advance in her quest by opening passages for example or by facing various enemies.
But finally, where the game surprises is with the arrival of a brand new companion, a particularly cute dog: Oatchi. The latter, in addition to being adorable, can move very heavy objects or be used as a mount.
Finally a release date
That’s not all ! In addition to this first gameplay video, Pikmin 4 revealed its release date… Yes, you read that right. While the game has been quiet for many years now, it comes back with the most important news.
Pikmin 4 will therefore arrive soon enough on Nintendo Switch since the title is already expected for July 21, 2023. Only six short months to wait.
