Monterrey Mexico.- After Lucía Méndez’s refusal to participate in the second season of the Netflix series Siempre Reinas, which she shared with Sylvia Pasquel, Laura Zapata and Lorena Herrera, the production is already looking for the new “queen”.
Pasquel, who is visiting Monterrey to present her monologue I Will Not Be Happy, But I Have a Husband tomorrow at Río 70, confirmed her intervention in the next installment of Siempre Reinas, whose first season managed to capture the attention of the audience on the platform .
“I know that there is a list (of possible queens) where many names are handled, they have not yet told us who the fourth queen is, but as soon as they have landed the project, I suppose they will tell us who it is,” Pasquel said in an interview.
The 73-year-old actress pointed out that they did ask them for names of possible candidates, and all three gave theirs.
“Everyone gave their suggestions, it’s up to them who to choose, but it also depends on where they want the project to go, because maybe they want us to tour or take us on a trip,” said the actress.
“It’s cool, that’s good, and this gives breadth to the project that if I can’t go next season, they can call others. Nobody is indispensable, so they have the opportunity to do it with completely new (queens) or leave one or two or three or four”.
Siempre Reinas, which has more than 5 million views, is a very flexible project, added Silvia Pinal’s daughter.
“Yes, a second season is going to be made. Nippur Argentina, who are the producers of the project together with Netflix, are landing where this new stage is going because, obviously, having only three of the original queens and having a new one , it makes the project have that of: or we go on a trip, do a show or a new song,’ “he said.
As soon as they have landed the ideas, he added, the chapter that links the two seasons will be made.
“Already for the month of June or July we will begin to record the series as such,” he said.
Do you think it affects that Lucia is not there? Pasquel was questioned.
“That is a subject that, look, I have so many things to talk about myself, my career, my projects, that I am not interested in talking about another person,” she replied.
Each project has its own luck, the actress said, so she hopes the creators come up with an attractive concept.
