Cologne. The North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Health wants to focus more on caring for people whose health has been damaged by the Covid vaccination. Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU) told the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” (Saturday edition): “I’ll say it very clearly: we have to get better at providing care and supporting those who have been vaccinated.” “Decidedly more research in this area” and “national therapy standards” are needed. The state is committed to intensifying and promoting research into post-vac syndrome at federal level. Those affected should be better informed about the possibilities of compensation. On the other hand, those affected must be given “low-threshold access” to expert knowledge, according to Laumann.

Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach also promised help to those affected by vaccination damage. At the same time, when asked by the newspaper, he emphasized: “But individual cases should not hide the fact that the corona vaccinations are very safe overall. And that they helped to overcome the pandemic. The WHO estimates that more than a million lives have been saved as a result – alone in Europe.” According to information from the Paul-Ehrlich Institute, for every 10,000 vaccinations there are almost three reports of suspected serious side effects. Professor Bernhard Schieffer, head of the Post-Vac consultation at the University Hospital in Marburg, talks to the “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” on this basis of 50,000 to 100,000 people affected throughout Germany.
