Talent is often a matter of opinion. That’s why the opinion between the audience and the Dieter Bohlen jury on the RTL permanent show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS) often differs widely. If you still want to try your luck with a well-known series or show, you can take the first hurdle in Oberhausen on Saturday, April 15th.

The Ufa production company is setting up a casting station in the Bero center. Between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., potential talents can try to take part in various television programs. In the selection process, singers, dancers, moderators, extras, bit actors, actors, show candidates and artists are sought.

“A film team will capture the performance. The photos and videos are then uploaded to a sed card,” the production company explains the casting. Among other things, it is about TV formats such as “Good times, bad times”, “Everything that counts”, “Unter uns” and “Tell the truth”.

If you want to be there, you can spontaneously participate on site. In order to take part in the casting, however, those interested must have completed at least the seventh year of life. If you are under the age of 16, the legal guardians must also sign a declaration of consent on site, Ufa sets out further rules.

There should also be entertaining elements in the selection process. The Bero Center announces that singer Prince Damien will perform. There will also be autographs and selfies on Saturday. The winner of the 13th season of DSDS (2016) also took part in the jungle camp “I’m a star – get me out of here!” four years later.

As early as August 2022, Ufa’s talent scouts stopped by the Bero center. Individual applicants even came from Bavaria.

Talent castings and selection processes are suddenly back in fashion in shopping centers: Centro Oberhausen recently launched a call for singers and complete music bands to respond. The shopping mall is looking for talents for its own casting in the central cathedral, with further live performances in the new center as a reward.
