Obsidian Entertainment co-founder and current CEO Feargus Urquhart has revealed in an interview that there are some projects that were presented by Obsidian but never saw the light of day. One of those games was an RPG set in The Walking Dead universe.

According to Urquhart, the concept never made it past the pitching stage due to a lack of interest from publishers. We don’t know when they were working on this, but there were other projects that Obsidian considered but failed to get off the ground. One such game was tied to Rick and Morty, which, considering current events, might have been just as well for Obsidian.

Obsidian currently seems to have a busy calendar for the next few years after recently releasing Grounded and around the corner is the next big RPG in the form of Avowed, as well as The Outer Worlds 2. Having said that… how do you like the idea of a The Walking Dead RPG from Obsidian Entertainment.
