As this scoundrel Doctor Gang takes control of Metroville, Inspector Gadget tries to go back in time to nip the dictatorship in the bud. Patatras, his time machine goes off the rails. Rather than turning back the clock, it is the ancestors of the detective in the trenchcoat who are propelled into the present. This is the narrative pretext that underlies 16 mini-games scattered throughout Metroville, which we can gadget-explore in all gadget-meanings.

Naturally, key characters like Chef Gontier and Sophie will be there, unfortunately not so much highlighted by the rather sketchy visuals, as you can see in the gallery below. The soundtrack will be composed by a woman named Tanis Chalopin. Our most attentive readers will notice that she is the daughter of Jean Chalopin, the original creator of the series. Failing to revolutionize the party-game, Inspector Gadget – Mad Time Party will have the good taste to get the original credits into the heads of our dear darlings.

Inspector Gadget – Mad Time Party will be released in fall 2023 on PC, Switch and PlayStation. No nostalgia for Xbox owners, alas.
