Juarez City.- Hundreds of older adults who have to replace their bank cards with one from Banco de Bienestar, reported waiting up to 4 hours in line to be attended.

The operation to replace the bank account has been carried out since May 3 at the monument to Benito Juárez in the center of the city.

However, beneficiaries of the pension for the elderly reported waiting times of up to 4 hours, standing, lined up under the sun with a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius at noon.

“My father is 94 years old and he had an appointment at 10:00 in the morning. We already have two hours in line, without baths, in the sun. This is mistreatment,” said the daughter of a program beneficiary.

Another person said that his relative had been in line since 7:00 in the morning and was not attended to at 12:00.

In the place there is a line for older adults that exceeds 200 places, most of the line is done without shade.

There are also no bathrooms or drinking fountains for hundreds of adults over 65 years of age.

The operator will end until May 26.
