Duisburg (NRW) – The flashy suit has lost none of its shine. In “Manta Manta” Uwe Fellensiek (67, “Notruf Hafen Kante”) wore the green fabric in 1991 as disco owner and Ferrari driver Helmut. Now the cult suit is going under the hammer – for charity.

In 1991, Fellensiek’s suit became a cult following in the first Manta film

Fellensiek on BILD: “I’ve decided to auction off the suit to Manta fans and freaks. It’s a film relic and because it no longer suits me one hundred percent, I hope that a lot of money will be raised.”

With Ruhrpott director Gerrit Starczewski (37) Fellensiek filmed an extra promotional clip – in proper style Manta and red Ferrari, like back in the movie.

“I was absolutely amazed that he still had the suit,” says Starczewski. “No one embodies the Ruhr area like Uwe and it was immediately clear that I would help him with the implementation so that the suit would bring in a few bills.”

The suit that Fellensiek bought from the production company for 100 marks has been on since Monday morning Ebay to find. Keyword: “Manta Green Suit”. The proceeds go to the It’s for Kids foundation.
