The two main pairings of Cuban men’s beach volleyball have been invited to intervene in three stages of the Russian National League, where they will leave on August 21.
The tandems formed by Noslen Díaz-Jorge Luis Alayo and Daniel Martínez-Lázaro Portes will take part in the phases of Kazán, Anapa and Sochi, a journey in which They will be accompanied by coach Walfrido Zayas and referee Eddy Martínez.
The matches that will be held in the European giant will be a fundamental part in the preparation of the island beach volleyball players ahead of the world championship in Tlaxcala, Mexico and the Pan American Games in Santiago.
The couple of Díaz and Alayo is the most seasoned on the national scene and is endorsed by several podiums at the Norceca circuitthe victory in the pre-world championship of said area and the recent bronze in the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador 2023.
For their part, Martínez and Portes won the silver medals in the 2023 Alba Games and have as a personal stop the victory in the Norceca de Varadero contest, where they eliminated their compatriots Díaz and Alayo in the semifinals and later they did the same with the Americans Troy Field and Tucker Silila.
