On Monday afternoon, unknown persons attacked the driver of a money transporter on the premises of the Virchow Clinic in Berlin-Wedding. They fled with several cash boxes, as the Berlin police said.

The driver is said to have been standing with the car on the north street of the Virchow Clinic shortly after 4 p.m. A man approached the car and threatened the 38-year-old with death. He made his claim clear with a gun. The driver then opened the side door.

Another man entered the car and stole several cash boxes. The two suspects then fled in an anthracite-colored Audi. They broke through the barrier of an exit. The driver suffered minor shock but did not want medical treatment.

The Berlin police are now looking for the suspects, the getaway car and the stolen goods. (tsp)
