Bludenz. When happy children’s laughter sounds through the music school Bludenz with cheerful songs and atmospheric instrument sounds, it’s that time again.
The kindergarten teachers at the Bludenz Mitte kindergarten are in the midst of elementary music-making.
Since the beginning of the second semester, the children of the Bludenz-Mitte kindergarten have had a special highlight in their exciting everyday life as children. They take part in elementary music-making with their groups during the kindergarten. “Elementary music making enables kindergarten children to deal with music, movement and language in a playful and fun way. Making music together with Orff instruments is just as much a focus as children’s dances and movement games. The first rhythmic structures are recorded, one’s own listening impressions are set to music and basic musical concepts are learned,” explains Mag.a. Daniela Ossenbrink, music teacher at the MS Bludenz, who leads the groups with a lot of enthusiasm and empathy.
The learning experiences that the children have are complex. Language skills, coordination and motor skills are encouraged in a playful way. “Each of our children enjoys a musical unit every other week. Lessons are free for parents. We got off to a good start and all the children and teachers are extremely enthusiastic about the musical input,” says Barbara Facchin, head of the kindergarten, about the successful campaign.

A total of three Vorarlberg music schools are currently entering into a cooperation with four participating kindergartens.
