The TFX channel is putting the dishes in the big ones this evening at 9:05 p.m. by broadcasting Jurassic World. Released in 2015, this film, directed by Colin Trevorrow, succeeded in the mission assigned to it: to relaunch the Jurassic Park franchise, while offering modern and innovative entertainment. Here are 3 good reasons to (re) see this feature film.
A good reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise
22 years after the first film, Jurassic Park has been replaced by Jurassic World. It is still an amusement park dedicated to dinosaurs, and visitors do not seem too burned by previous events since they come there by the thousands.
As you might expect, the management of the establishment intends to create a new dinosaur in order to spice things up a bit. The latter will succeed in escaping, and this is the beginning of events that are spectacular to say the least.
The film pays homage to the original work with many winks that will delight fans of the first installments, while offering new characters quite endearing.
An impressive cast
Universal Pictures did not skimp on the means by offering the services of Chris Pratt in the main role of Owen Grady, a trainer of dinosaurs. The latter was then at the height of his glory after his success in Guardians of the Galaxy.
We are also surprised to discover Omar Sy on the French side. Completing this cast: Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil), Bryce Dallas Howard (Black Mirror), or Irrfan Khan (Inferno).
An effective film
Jurassic World, it is first of all a huge success at the worldwide box office with more than 1.6 billion dollars in revenue. The reviews are generally mixed (but rather positive) from the press who salute an entertainment at the height although below the first film.
As for the public, it appreciated this feature film. As evidenced by this overall rating of 3.5 out of 5 on Allocinated. The same is true on Rotten Tomotoes: 78% and Metacritic: 6.8 out of 10.
Word of mouth worked very well when the feature film was released in 2015. Overall, viewers appreciated that the film didn’t lie about the merchandise. We are therefore dealing with thrilling and very spectacular action scenes. The humor also works well overall, even if the writing is not necessarily the great strength of the new part.
