February 2023 is probably all about Hogwarts Legacy, which is already dominating the headlines and the Steam sales charts. In addition to the Harry Potter RPG, you can also look forward to a few other exciting releases, which we will present to you in more detail in the monthly preview. And of course, let’s not forget the launch of PlayStation VR 2. Here we look at the launch line-up separately towards the end of the article.

Deliver us The Moon has already sent you on your first space mission. Now it’s the turn of the next celestial body with Deliver Us Mars. The atmospheric sci-fi adventure continues the story of its predecessor, albeit ten years later. That’s why this time you don’t play a nameless hero, but the astronaut Kathy Johanson. You use it to search for the so-called ARCHE colony ships, which are the last chance to save humanity from extinction. Along the way, you’ll need to use your wits and brawn to overcome obstacles.

It’s all about beating between two scribbled figures. But the combat simulator offers significantly more depth: Everything happens in a tactical round manner! You select your next action via a bar at the bottom of the screen. Then you press play and launch great choreographed beating scenes.
Perish

You have to be four friends, at least if you want to play Perish. The cooperative first shooter works best in a quartet. Blast through purgatory together to earn your place in heaven. You see: It’s all a bit mythical. So you discover ruined temples or abandoned labyrinths. At the beginning you only have one sword with you, only slowly you collect gold and improve your arsenal. But watch out: If you die, the coal is gone. So caution is required, especially in boss fights against giant gods.
SpellForce: Conquest of Eo

It’s back to the Mage Tower! In SpellForce: Conquest of Eo, you throw on the wizard robes again and try to seize power over the lands of Eos. Of course, you have numerous supernatural abilities at your disposal, depending on whether you choose necromancy, alchemy or another art. However, the focus of the strategy game is clearly on the tactical battles that are procedurally generated in each campaign. You recruit powerful heroes for them and then unleash them on your opponents in round-robin fashion.

Barkhan

Ordered Dune on Wish. That’s pretty much how you can imagine Barkhan. The real-time strategy game simply copies everything Westwood was already doing in the early 2000s: it throws you into tactical combat on a sandy desert planet. Three clans are fighting for supremacy over rare “minerals”. Each faction has individual units. One relies on airplanes that look suspiciously like ornitopters. The only thing missing are the sandworms! Oh no, wait, they’re called sand snakes here. That is of course something completely different.
Hogwarts legacy

Attention Potterheads, on February 10th your wildest dreams will come true: With Hogwarts Legacy you can finally go to the world-famous school for witchcraft and wizardry yourself and experience a magical adventure there. It does take place before the action of the films, at the beginning of the 19th century, and revolves around the goblin uprisings of the time. In return, however, you get the chance to assemble your very own hero and shape it according to your wishes. Thanks to an extensive role-playing system, you can learn lots of magic spells and potions that will serve you well in the huge open world.

Bumblebee – Little Bee Adventure

If your children ask you what the flowers and bees are all about, then simply put Bumblebee – Little Bee Adventure in front of them. It’s a wonderful distraction, and it’s at least roughly about the same subject. In the 3D exploration game, you whiz through a huge game world with a cute bumblebee, complete tasks and get to know other animals. You’ll even be told a little story next to it.
Wanted: Dead

The creators of Wanted: Dead previously worked on Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Accordingly, things are getting down to business in their new project: you are presented with a shooter-slasher hybrid in which you take control of the so-called zombie unit. This is an elite unit tasked with uncovering a huge corporate conspiracy. And that’s apparently only gun violence. In third-person view, you shoot and slice your way through hordes of cyberpunk enemies and then complete your combos with fat finishers.
