Victor Osimhen is playing an outstanding season for SSC Napoli. It is anything but surprising that the European club elite has long had the Nigerian attacker on their list. FC Bayern is also an admirer of the 24-year-old – and the interest from Munich is apparently becoming increasingly concrete.
‘Sky’ recently reported that the national player can well imagine a move to Säbener Straße. Now the pay station is following suit: Thomas Tuchel is also a big supporter of the dynamic striker. The new Bayern coach would be happy to work with Osimhen in the future.
One hurdle remains
This means that two of the three hurdles for a potential summer transfer have been cleared. Osimhen and Tuchel have apparently given the green light – but the potentially exorbitant fee is still an obstacle. Naples is said to be demanding well over 100 million euros for the right foot.
Much will depend on whether Bayern are willing to go to their financial pain point for Osimhen. The alternatives to the former Wolfsburg are Randal Kolo Muani (24/Eintracht Frankfurt) and Harry Kane (29/Tottenham Hotspur). But the duo would not be cheaper either. Both attackers also have transfer fees in excess of 100 million euros.
